The scrap kit I have used in this tutorial is called Vintage Wine which has been
designed by Scrappy Lover. You can purchase her kit from Tantrum Scraps
As this is a purchase kit I cannot offer any of the elements involved in this
tutorial, however, I do supply the tubed lady and mask which you can download Here
As far as I'm aware the tubed image used in this tutorial is a free to use image
which I have had on my files for quite a few years. If it does belong to someone
and requires credit, please let me know.
Supplies required
Redfield Plugin - Water Ripple - Download directly Here
Xero Plugin - Porcelain - Download directly Here
OK, let's get started.
Open a new file, sized 600 x 600. Fill the background with a good solid colour,
something to compliment your design.
Call up my mask and add the water ripple effect by going to your Effects tab and
selecting the Redfield plugin then selecting Water Ripple.
Use the same settings as mine.
Merge Visible and save but keep open.
Open a new file sized 600 x 600 with no background. Keep the background transparent.
Decorate as you wish, remembering to add your watermark and any text and then Merge Visible.
Now you need to copy your image and paste it on to your mask then Merge All Layers.
You should now have your image sitting on top of your masked layer with a white background.
Now you need to add the border effect so click on the Image tab and select Add Borders.
Choose the colour you wish to use and change the size setting to 18.
When the border has been added, grab your Magic Wand tool and select inside the border
so the border has dotted lines around the inside.
With my border I filled the selected area with paper. To do this, call up a paper you
wish to use. Go to your pallete area, click on the first colour block to open up your
choices. Select the Pattern option and then scroll through your patterns until
you find the one you called up. If using the same kit as me, reduce the size of the
pattern to 35.
Go to your Fill tool and fill the border area with the paper. To finish if off, go to your
Effects tab and select buttonised. The setting used for mine is shown below.
To give your image that soft look, go to your plugins, call up Xero and select Porcelain.
You can use the same settings as mine for this effect.
Now save and show off.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
